HARKE GROUP Acquires Vendico Group, Strengthening Nordic Market leadership
HARKE GROUP, headquartered in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany, has acquired the Swedish Vendico Group, which consists of Vendico Chemical AB, Inventicon AB and Omni International AB.
The Vendico Group represents dozens of leading chemical raw material manufacturers in the personal care, industrial and industrial automation sectors as well as other application areas such as plastics.
The Vendico Group has a broad range of chemicals for many branches of the Nordic chemical industry and occupies a strong position among companies involved in surfactant applications.
Thorsten Harke, President of the HARKE Group, is convinced: "The acquisition of Vendico Group will further strengthen our presence in the Nordic chemical distribution market. Vendico Group is a perfect fit for the HARKE Group. This is not only reflected in the regions it covers - Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland and the Baltic Sea region. It is also reflected in its product range and agent customers, many of which have previously cooperated with the HARKE Group. With the merger of the two groups, we can now provide better services to customers and agents throughout Europe and Asia. "
Anders Håkansson, Managing Director of Vendico Group, added: "HARKE Group is the ideal acquirer of Vendico Group in the future. As a family-owned company, HARKE Group and Vendico Group have very similar business strategies and market approaches, which ensures a seamless connection and better service for our long-term customers, clients and our employees in the future."
