July styrene market fluctuates and falls in China
July 31st, according to the news
According to the commodity analysis system, the styrene market in July experienced a fluctuating decline. The average price at the beginning of the month was 8,036 CNY/ton, and by the end of the month, it had decreased to 7,694 CNY/ton, with a monthly price decrease of 4.26%. In July, the styrene market was primarily influenced by fundamental factors, with macroeconomic factors playing a secondary role. During the month, styrene profits were acceptable, and industry operations remained at high levels, with port inventory being high. Downstream EPS/PS, under the pressure of reduced industry profits, saw some factories reducing their production, leading to cautious purchasing of raw materials. Under the weak fundamentals, the resistance to an increase in styrene prices was significant, resulting in a trend of fluctuating and falling prices.
