On November 1, the average market price of adipic acid in China was 6,966 CNY/ton, and on November 26, the average market price of adipic acid in China was 6,733 CNY/ton, a decrease of 3.35%.

At the beginning of the month, in early November, the market for adipic acid raw material cyclohexanone and pure benzene remained weak. Terminal rigid demand was sluggish, resulting in moderate trading activity in the adipic acid market. Manufacturers lowered their factory prices, and the overall adipic acid market continued to weaken. As of November 10, the mainstream quotation in Shandong region was around 6,866 CNY per ton, while in Jiangsu region it stood at approximately 6,700 CNY per ton. The average price in the Chinese market dropped to 6,900 CNY per ton, a decrease of 100 CNY per ton.

Mid-month, the prices of adipic acid raw materials cyclohexanone and pure benzene continued to weaken. With low rigid demand from the terminal market, the sales of adipic acid were mediocre, and manufacturers mainly reduced their factory prices. As of November 20th, the mainstream quotation in the Shandong region was around 6,766 CNY/ton, while in the Jiangsu region, it was 6,700 CNY/ton. The average price in the Chinese market fell to about 6,800 CNY/ton, a decrease of over 1%.

At the end of the month, the market for adipic acid raw materials—cyclohexanone and pure benzene—showed only limited upward momentum. With weakening rigid demand at the downstream end, transactions in the adipic acid market declined, and manufacturers continued to lower their factory prices. As a result, adipic acid prices have been steadily hitting new lows. As of November 26, the mainstream quoted price in Shandong region was around 6,800 CNY per ton, while in Jiangsu region it stood at about 6,700 CNY per ton. The average market price in China fell to 6,733 CNY per ton, down 50 CNY per ton, indicating a slowdown in the downward trend.

The adipic acid analyst believes that as we enter December, terminal demand remains sluggish, and the outlook for adipic acid prices lacks upward momentum.
