According to the commodity market analysis system, as of September 19, 2025, the reference price for n-butanol in Shandong, China, is 5,916 CNY per ton. Compared to September 13, the price remained basically unchanged. Compared to September 1 (when the reference price for n-butanol was 6,100 CNY per ton), the price has decreased by 184 CNY per ton, a price decrease of 3.01%.
From the commodity market analysis system, it can be seen that this week, the n-butanol market in Shandong region of China has shown a consolidating trend overall. During the week, the n-butanol market in Shandong did not change much, and the fundamentals were relatively calm. As of September 19th, the price of n-butanol in Shandong region was around 5,900-6,000 CNY per ton.

Supply and Demand: Stable supply and demand with moderate trading
Currently, the butanol market in China is showing decent shipment performance, with manufacturers actively shipping goods. Downstream users are preparing inventory according to their needs, and the inquiry and trading atmosphere is mild. Some downstream users expect to stock up before the holiday, which has provided some support to the market. The supply and demand transmission for butanol remains stable.
Cost Perspective: Raw material prices fluctuate upward, but cost support remains firm.
Recently, the propylene market, which is the raw material end, has shown a fluctuating upward trend, providing stable cost support for n-butanol. As of September 19, the benchmark price of propylene was 6730.75 CNY/ton, an increase of 1.01% compared to the beginning of this month (6663.25 CNY/ton) in China.
Market Outlook Analysis
Currently, the supply and demand for n-butanol in the upstream and downstream sectors are balanced. The market for butyl acrylate, a downstream product, is actively trading, which has increased the procurement enthusiasm for raw materials. As the National Day approaches, the overall market demand is expected to improve, and industry sentiment is positive. Data analysts predict that in the short term, the n-butanol market in Shandong, China, will mainly maintain a stable and improving trend.
