According to the commodity market analysis system, as of November 3, 2025, the reference price for n-butanol in Shandong, China was 5,216 CNY/ton. Compared to October 31 (reference price for n-butanol was 5,233 CNY/ton), the price decreased by 17 CNY/ton. Compared to October 1 (reference price for n-butanol was 5,850 CNY/ton), the price decreased by 634 CNY/ton, a price decrease of 10.583%.
Market Performance Poor, Shandong Normal Butanol Prices Decline into November
From the commodity market analysis system, it can be seen that at the beginning of November, the n-butanol market in Shandong region of China still showed a downward trend. At the beginning of the month, major factories in Shandong continued to slightly reduce the factory price of n-butanol, with a reduction of 50 CNY per ton, and the low-end reference price for n-butanol was around 5,150 CNY per ton. The fundamentals within the market were weak, and by the 3rd, the market price of n-butanol in Shandong region was around 5,150-5,200 CNY per ton.

Currently, the overall supply of n-butanol in the Shandong region of China is relatively sufficient, with suppliers actively shipping goods, mainly focusing on reducing inventory by offering discounts.

On the raw material side, the propylene market remains at low levels, easing cost support for n-butanol. According to data, on November 3, the benchmark price for propylene was 6,058.25 CNY per ton, a 7.41% decrease compared to October 1 (6,543.25 CNY per ton).
