In November, the price of titanium dioxide in China's market fell. In the first ten days, the demand for titanium dioxide was weak, with general inquiries for new orders, and there was significant inventory pressure, causing the market focus to shift downward. In the middle of the month, the market was mostly in a wait-and-see mode, with the titanium dioxide market situation remaining stagnant. In the latter part of the month, due to the high impact of upstream raw material prices, energy, and environmental protection costs, several titanium dioxide companies, including Lomon, Titan Energy, Anada, and Dawn, issued letters to increase the price of titanium dioxide. Additionally, two international titanium dioxide giants, Kronos and Tronox, also issued letters announcing price increases, with their products being raised by 130-150 US dollars from January 1st. As of now, the quotations for sulfuric acid method rutile titanium dioxide in China are mostly between 12,900-13,900 CNY/ton; anatase type is around 12,000-12,500 CNY/ton, with actual transaction prices negotiated on a case-by-case basis.

According to customs data, China exported 146,000 tons of titanium dioxide in October, a decrease of 6.4% month-over-month and a decrease of 5.2% year-over-year; among which, 114,000 tons were produced by the sulfate process, a decrease of 10.9% from the previous month; and 32,300 tons were produced by the chloride process, an increase of 12.2% from the previous month.

In October 2025, the import volume of titanium dioxide was 5,644.56 tons, a decrease of 11.56% from the previous month (September 2025 saw imports of 6,382.348 tons). Compared to the same period last year, imports fell by 12.44% (October 2024 saw imports of 6,446.65 tons).

III. Future Market Forecast

Titanium dioxide analysts believe: By the end of this month, several titanium dioxide companies in China have issued letters to increase the price of titanium dioxide, significantly influenced by the high costs of upstream raw materials, energy, and environmental protection. It is expected that in the short term, the market will operate steadily with a positive trend, and actual transaction prices will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
