BASF has integrated the sustainable solutions in its plastic additive product portfolio into its new global brand VALERAS. VALERAS brings together BASF's senior industry experience, innovative solutions and regulatory support to improve the sustainability of plastic products throughout the polymer value chain. Later this year, BASF's composite additive products in mechanical recycling of plastics and its various applications will also be under the VALERAS brand.

Dr. Thomas Kloster, President of BASF’s Specialty Chemicals Business Unit, said: “Sustainable development is imperative and is accelerating, driven by increasing consumer demand and stricter legislation. Our customers are focusing on sustainable innovation and plastics. The challenge of recyclability is increasing. By launching the VALERAS brand, we hope to give new value to plastic products and escort our customers on the road to sustainable development by providing innovative solutions and services. VALERAS It highlights BASF’s more ambitious goal, which is to build a platform covering all BASF’s additive solutions and contribute to helping our customers achieve their sustainable development goals."

VALERAS contains BASF's existing plastic additives products, these additives bring huge sustainable value to plastic applications by improving durability, saving energy, reducing emissions and promoting biodiversity.

The VALERAS product portfolio will continue to evolve to support the sustainable development of customers in the plastics industry. BASF's Plastic Additives business unit has more than 100 experts and 5 technical competence centers around the world, committed to building a sustainable future and introducing more products to the VALERAS brand.

The development of modified materials and functional additives can be said to be complementary to each other, and the two go hand in hand to promote the development of the industry.
