On September 16, 2026, Fi Asia Indonesia opened at JIExpo Kemayoran in Jakarta, Indonesia. As an important professional exhibition in the food and beverage ingredients sector in Southeast Asia, this year's event attracted more than 700 quality exhibitors from over 100 countries and regions. Exhibits cover food ingredients, functional foods, food supplements and nutraceuticals, functional beverages, plant-based foods, and other fields.

This year's exhibition scale further expanded, with the number of halls increasing from 7 to 11, and newly added Nutraceutical Expo and Foodtech Equipment & Service Zone.

The exhibition also held multiple professional conferences and thematic events concurrently. At FiA Conference 2026, health and formulation, regulations and safety became key topics. Protein innovation, sugar/salt/fat reduction, functional foods and health claims, clean label, and other directions received attention. Indonesia's Nutri-Level grading system is pushing companies to accelerate healthier formulations. In addition, the conference focused on ASEAN food science and technology standards harmonization, mutual recognition of food analyst competencies, building regional food safety management systems, as well as safety and nutrition of Indonesian school meals, and translating health claims from science to policy.

ECHEMI Appears at D2F10, Showcasing Platform Services On Site
On the opening day, the ECHEMI booth welcomed food ingredient buyers from Indonesia and Southeast Asia. The ECHEMI team demonstrated the platform's procurement process on site. Buyers can search for products and suppliers, post RFQs, and receive quotes from multiple suppliers through the platform.
Based on on-site feedback, buyers are not only concerned about the products themselves; supplier qualifications, product documentation, Halal certification, and Chinese supplier resources are also important factors in the procurement process. Through face-to-face communication, the ECHEMI team further understood the product categories and supplier screening criteria that local buyers focus on.

In addition to online procurement, ECHEMI also introduced Market Price and Trade Data services to visiting customers. In the on-site demonstration, customers could use Market Price to learn about market prices of relevant ingredients, and use Trade Data to view import and export trade information, purchasing companies and suppliers in different countries and regions. For users who need to make market judgments and screen suppliers, Market Price provides price reference, while Trade Data supplements information such as trade flows and purchasing companies, helping them grasp product market conditions and market dynamics more quickly.

From product search and supplier screening to market prices and trade data, ECHEMI showcased multiple digital services for overseas markets at its booth.
Connecting Southeast Asian Buyers, Serving Chinese Suppliers
For Chinese food ingredient suppliers, overseas market development does not necessarily have to start with attending exhibitions abroad again and again. ECHEMI's offline participation in the Indonesian and Southeast Asian market increases channels for establishing contact with local buyers. Through the platform, suppliers can directly access overseas procurement needs, participate in quotations, and continuously follow up with buyers.

Currently, ECHEMI covers food ingredient-related categories such as sweeteners, preservatives, acidity regulators, flavor enhancers, natural colors, enzymes, and nutritional fortifiers. During Fi Asia Indonesia, the platform continues to provide professional digital solutions to customers, and will also take on procurement needs from the local food ingredient industry, providing Chinese suppliers with more customer touchpoints in the Southeast Asian market.
