The domestic butadiene catalyst has been successfully applied!
On August 20, 2021, Wison Engineering received a letter of commendation from Jiutai Energy (Zhungeer) Co., Ltd., that the butadiene HS-I catalyst project authorized by Wison Engineering was successfully started in one operation; Continuous optimization, under the premise of significantly reducing the catalyst feed temperature, the catalyst reaction performance still has significant advantages, creating important conditions for ensuring the long-term operation of the butene oxidative dehydrogenation unit.
Jiutai Energy’s supporting butadiene is the best way to utilize the by-product C4 in its MTO device, which can effectively improve the economics of the MTO device. In addition, butadiene downstream can produce high value-added BDO and THF for the production of biodegradable plastics and new materials such as spandex and polyester, with excellent economic and social benefits. In order to ensure the stable and efficient operation of the butadiene plant, Jiutai Energy selected the HS-1 catalyst of Wison Engineering on the basis of in-depth comparison and selection of catalysts. Under the effective organization of the expert team of the Butadiene Division of Wison Engineering, the design professions have carefully designed and modified the equipment according to the requirements of the use of the catalyst; and during the start-up period, they actively responded to the owner’s needs and fully cooperated with the owner’s work to finally ensure the project It was put into production smoothly, and the first-time drive was successful. The owner fully affirmed Wison's work and support, especially highly appreciated the technical level of the expert team, and expressed expectations for the follow-up cooperation between the two parties.
This project is the third commercial application of a new iron catalyst (model: HS-I) for butadiene oxidative dehydrogenation to butadiene independently developed by Wison Engineering. As early as 2016, on the first set of technically authorized equipment, the catalyst has achieved operation for more than 3000 hours and still has high activity. The conversion rate of n-butene is 80.0%, the selectivity of butadiene is about 93%, and the yield is more than 74%. The production cost of butadiene per ton is RMB 1,400. As of May 2021, compared with domestic and foreign multi-stage adiabatic fixed-bed catalysts, the single production line of Wison Engineering HS-I catalyst can produce 100,000 tons of butadiene per year, and the butadiene yield is more than 3% higher than other catalysts.
Since 2015, Wison Engineering has implemented many sets of butadiene projects, and the scope of services includes feasibility study reports, process package design, catalysts, basic design, detailed design, EPC, etc. Currently, many sets of butene oxidation are in progress at home and abroad. Scheme design of dehydrogenation to butadiene.
