Evonik and Panjin sign a strategic cooperation agreement for high-performance polymers
Recently, Panjin Liaodong Bay New Area Management Committee, Evonik Industries Group and Panjin Baoyu Chemical Co., Ltd. High Performance Polymer Strategic Cooperation Agreement Cloud Signing Ceremony was held in Liaodong Bay New Area. Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee Zhang Chengzhong met the contracted merchants via video connection and attended the signing ceremony.
Before signing the contract, Zhang Chengzhong met with Shi Huawei, Vice President of High Performance Polymer Asia of Germany Evonik Industrial Group, and Chen Xuhui, Chairman of Panjin Baoyu Chemical Co., Ltd. through video connection. The two sides conducted cordial and friendly exchanges on further in-depth cooperation.
It is understood that Panjin is a rapidly emerging petrochemical city. In recent years, relying on abundant oil and gas resources, an industrial pattern has been formed in which multiple industries such as equipment manufacturing, electronic information, and deep processing of grain and oil are being developed based on the oil and gas extraction industry, dominated by petrochemicals and fine chemicals, and are building an important petrochemical and fine chemical industry in the country. The industrial base is one of the most dynamic and potential cities in Liaoning and even the Northeast.
Evonik Industries Group is an innovative multinational company in Germany. As the world's leading specialty chemicals company, its core business is specialty chemicals. The group is divided into three subsidiaries: nutrition and consumer chemicals, resource efficiency and functional materials. Many of its products, such as acrylic resins and its polymers (MMA/PMMA), polyester resins, super absorbents, etc., rank first in the world in terms of market share, and the market share of isononanol is second in the world. The joint construction of high-performance polymer projects with Panjin enterprises this time is of great significance for promoting the high-quality development of Panjin's new chemical materials industry, accelerating the transformation and upgrading of the petrochemical industry, and further enhancing industrial competitiveness.
The signing of this project is based on the good foundation of past cooperation, the "one-stop" service provided by the Panjin Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, and the good development prospects of the petrochemical industry during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period. At the same time, with the support of the Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Government and the Liaodong Bay New Area, the enterprises of both parties will be determined to make progress and make every effort to promote the early implementation of the project, early completion and early production, and contribute to Panjin's construction of an important petrochemical and fine chemical industry base in the country.
