Dozens of giants including BASF, DuPont, Dow and others collectively raised prices in October!
The eleventh small holiday has passed, and everyone's hearts are still immersed in a happy atmosphere. But for chemical workers, the anxiety is hard to alleviate. Energy consumption "dual control" brought about power and production restrictions, and the operating rate in many regions has reached a new low. Dozens of domestic chemical companies such as raw materials, coatings and other chemical companies have sent letters to increase. At the same time, the overseas situation has not allowed everyone to relax. In a sigh of relief. Since the third quarter, chemical companies such as BASF, DuPont, and Dow have sent letters one after another or even several times, announcing price increases in the fourth quarter. Some products rose up to 6000 CNY/ton, an increase of up to 30%, and some companies even announced additional fees such as natural gas surcharges.
Nearly 100 international giants such as BASF and DuPont announced the increase, and LANXESS increased RMB 6,000/ton

Although the fourth quarter has just kicked off, dozens of international chemical industry leaders have announced product price increases, and many domestic chemical companies have sent letters or directly notified customer groups to inform them of price increases. According to incomplete statistics from the editor, hundreds of chemical companies have increased their product prices, and some companies have continued to increase prices in the near future. The epidemic is still spreading, natural gas, oil, coal and other primary energy sources are in emergency, ocean freight and freight rates continue to soar, domestic "dual limit" control has become stricter, and the imbalance of supply and demand has become more and more serious... These "gray rhino" incidents have followed one after another. Punching is on the face of chemical people, and will continue to play a role in the remaining three months of 2021. Whether the shortage of supply will intensify, whether the price of chemical products will continue to diverge, and whether the price ceiling can be refreshed, the editor will bring continuous follow-up reports.
