Promoting Work Injury Prevention and Management Level in Food Industry

Recently, in order to further improve the level of work-related injury prevention and management in food industry, reduce the instability caused by safe production, and play an active role in building harmonious labor relations, the work-related injury prevention knowledge training activities of Guangxi Food Safety Association were officially launched. During the one-and-a-half-day training, Dr. Liu Huixia, a well-known industrial injury prevention expert from Guangdong Industrial Injury Rehabilitation Center, taught three famous dairy enterprises in Guangxi, including Huangshi Dairy, Zhuangniu Dairy and Shibu Dairy. Dr. Liu Huixia changed the traditional indoctrinating training mode, citing a large number of pictures, videos, cases and related data as support, emphasizing the serious consequences of injury caused by industrial accidents on individuals, families and enterprises, vividly interpreting the importance of industrial injury prevention training to the development of enterprises, workers and society, instructing employees to strictly abide by the operating rules in their work, and checking the work cycle. Hidden dangers exist in the environment and create a safe production environment. The training process is also interspersed with group discussion, scene simulation, role-playing and other content, in order to stimulate everyone's interest in learning and learn knowledge in an active atmosphere.

In recent years, the food industry in Guangxi has maintained a steady and healthy development, but at the same time there are many common problems, such as a wide range of points, low access threshold, low overall quality of food practitioners, weak awareness of safe production, and so on. Occupational accidents occur frequently in the field of food production and processing. In addition, since the promulgation of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Occupational Diseases, the relevant departments at all levels have strengthened the supervision of occupational health in various industries. Considering that food processing may have relatively small hazards, the prevention of occupational diseases in the food field has not been paid enough attention. In fact, dust, noise, high temperature and adverse effects occur in the process of food production and processing. Processing environment is a threat to the occupational health of food workers.

In order to publicize the regulations on industrial injury insurance and related policies on industrial injury prevention, improve the safety awareness, legal awareness and emergency handling ability of food production and processing enterprises and employees, Guangxi Food Safety Association has launched the publicity and training of industrial injury accidents and occupational disease prevention knowledge in the food industry, and set up industrial injury insurance policy publicity and safety according to the characteristics of the food production and processing industry. Special training seminars on full production skills, occupational disease prevention and control will guide the responsible persons, safety managers and employees of food production and processing enterprises to do a good job in work-related injury prevention. Following the successful holding of the first training event, the Guangxi Food Safety Association will organize more experts on industrial injury prevention to carry out industrial injury prevention knowledge training in food enterprises. At the same time, it will innovate the propaganda model, make comprehensive use of traditional and emerging media, organize an industrial injury prevention knowledge answer contest, carry out online and offline interaction, continuously expand the coverage of propaganda and training, and create new media. The social atmosphere in which the whole society supports and participates in the prevention of industrial injuries strives to contribute to reducing the occurrence of industrial injuries and promoting the healthy and rapid development of the food industry in Guangxi.
