Deepening Cooperation between Shenzhen Stock Exchange and National Energy Group

On May 9, 2019, the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (hereinafter referred to as Shenzhen Stock Exchange) and the State Energy Investment Group Limited Liability Company (hereinafter referred to as the State Energy Group) held a symposium on deepening cooperation and signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two sides will promote and implement a series of measures in strengthening the real economic capacity of financial services, deepening the reform and development of state-owned enterprises, and serving the national energy development strategy.
National Energy Group is a pilot reform enterprise of State-owned Capital Investment Corporation, which was merged by Shenhua Group and Guodian Group in November 2017. It is the first centrally managed enterprise after the Nineteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China. It also marks the substantive stage of the reform of mixed ownership in the power industry. Since the reorganization, the State Energy Group has resolutely implemented the decision-making and deployment of the Central Committee of the Party and the State Council, promoted integrated operation, optimized development mode, persisted in contributing clean energy, continuously guaranteed energy supply, and strived to build a world-class energy group with global competitiveness.
Shenzhen Stock Exchange has always implemented the requirements of new development concepts and maintained close communication and good cooperation with the National Energy Group. Since the high-level docking between the two sides was achieved in November last year, we have steadily promoted the gradual landing of agreed matters. Based on the existing work, the Shenzhen Stock Exchange will continue to give full play to the functions of multi-level capital market platform and the advantages of innovative capital formation, deepen cooperation in investment and financing docking, planned listing and cultivation, merger and acquisition reorganization, refinancing, fixed income, research and training and other fields, so as to serve the national energy group to make greater and stronger use of capital market. Improve the efficiency of state-owned capital allocation and build a market-oriented and specialized investment platform for state-owned capital. In recent years, under the leadership of China Securities Regulatory Commission, Shenzhen Stock Exchange has actively served the overall situation of the national development strategy, striving to improve its direct financing capacity, continuously deepening market reform, comprehensively optimizing market cultivation service system, and giving full play to the role of capital market in serving the real economy. At present, Shenzhen Stock Exchange has developed diversified service docking with more than 50 state-owned enterprise groups and signed strategic cooperation agreements with more than 10 of them. It has made positive progress in promoting the reform and innovation of state-owned enterprises, transformation and upgrading, integration of industry and finance, and diversified financing.
