With the growth of cognition, improvement of tools and equipment, and innovation of methods and approaches, human research on plants and human body will continue to deepen, new plant ingredients that meet human needs will be discovered, and the product variety of plant extracts will be enriched continuously.
(2) New technology and new process will be developed continuously
The plant extract industry is a technology-dependent industry. Advanced extraction technology and equipment can not only significantly improve the quality of extract products, but also increase the utilization rate of raw materials, reduce raw material waste and lower production costs.
As the number of competitors in the industry increases and the level of competition becomes more intense, companies will definitely choose the development strategy of continuously improving technology and developing new processes to form a competitive advantage and seize the market.
(3) The industry quality system is gradually established and improved
After the "Ginkgo biloba incident", the State Food and Drug Administration has taken a series of measures to strengthen the supervision of the plant extract industry, and the quality standard at the national level is expected to be introduced.
In addition, industry associations are also actively promoting the construction of quality systems. In 2013, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Pharmaceutical and Health Products organized domestic outstanding plant extract manufacturers to develop 7 international business standards for major export plant extracts, which were officially implemented on October 1 of that year.
In the future, the quality system of the industry will be gradually established and improved.
(4) Gradual increase of industry concentration
At present, China's plant extract industry is still in the formative stage, the concentration of the industry is not high, most of the enterprises are small in scale, lack of talent and technology, poor equipment and technology, and weak competitiveness.
With the sound regulation of the industry and the improvement of consumers' quality requirements, those enterprises with backward production equipment and poor product quality will be eliminated or integrated and reorganized in the future, and some enterprises with advanced technology, strong financial strength and good reputation will stand out and grow, and the concentration of the industry will gradually increase.
