Recently, Qingdao Petrochemical Company successfully produced metallocene polypropylene resin.

Since April this year, the company has established a special research team for the production of metallocene polypropylene resin, which has determined the filling method, process operating conditions, and subsequent treatment of the metallocene catalyst to create favorable conditions for trial production. In late November, the company conducted trial production on a 70,000-ton/year batch bulk polypropylene plant, using a polypropylene metallocene catalyst independently developed by the Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry of Sinopec, which has the characteristics of a single active center. On November 23, the company successfully produced metallocene polypropylene products, which have low polymer soluble content and good toughness, and have good application prospects in the fields of films, fibers, and medical materials.

Next, the company will further conduct physical and chemical indicators, mechanical performance analysis, docking operation procedures, and optimization plans with Beijing Institute of Chemical Technology to expand the application range of polypropylene metallocene catalysts and provide technology for the development of high-performance polypropylene products for batch bulk polypropylene plants. support. The company will carry out key innovation research on catalyst improvement, adjustment of dosing methods, and increase of conversion rate to expand the industry market.
