Successful Commissioning of No. 2 Polyethylene Plant in Zhenhai Base
On December 24, 2021, the 300,000-ton/year No. 2 polyethylene plant in Zhenhai Base was successfully commissioned for a trial run. The operation was stable, all parameters were up to standard, and qualified products were produced.
This device is one of the main devices in Zhenhai Base. It is the first domestic gas-phase polyethylene device that adopts "chromium-based catalyst condensed state operation". The product is high-density polyethylene pellets. The device is designed and constructed by the engineering construction company. The first pile will be laid on April 15, 2020, and it will be fully delivered on October 29, 2021. Its core equipment, the extrusion pelletizing unit, will be commissioned once on November 11, 2021. It succeeded and created the fastest record for installation, commissioning, and actual material trial run of the domestic similar polyolefin plant extruder.
In order to ensure the smooth commissioning of the plant, Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Corporation focused on the target node, aimed at the weak links and obvious shortcomings, used the joint efforts of the polyolefin expert group and the research team, and successfully solved the first domestic production through remote video discussion and on-site intelligence gathering. Dozens of difficult problems such as the debugging of the extruder and the debugging of the first set of domestic catalyst feeders, and a total of 170 process system pipelines have been purged, laying a solid foundation for the realization of the goal of affordable, stable, long-term, and profitable installations.
