Dicyandiamide acts as a retarder, preventing the development of excessive strength and delaying the time at which the concrete reaches maximum strength.
Camphor Sulfonic Acid
Camphor sulfonic acid is a chemical used in wastewater treatment, and more specifically it is used in the sequencing batch reactor (SBR). The main function of this chemical is to stabilize organic matter as well as prevent the growth of unwanted microorganisms. This chemical can be used in many industries including, but not limited to: sewage treatment, beverage manufacturing, and wastewater storage and treatment.
Acetic Acid
Acetic acid is a chemical that serves an important role in wastewater treatment. It helps to break down compounds in the water that are harmful to living organisms and prevents corrosion of the piping systems used to transport wastewater. Acetic acid is naturally occurring in wastewater, but it isn't always the right amount. This acid is used to treat wastewater by adding it to the liquid waste or by spraying it into the air. After primary treatment, efforts are made to remove some of this remaining suspended material before it is released for biological treatment.
