On March 16, Sinopec Yangzi Petrochemical successfully produced the new EVA hot melt adhesive UE 2815GA for the first time, and after inspection, the product passed all the performance indicators, becoming the fourth main grade of the production unit and filling the gap of Sinopec in the field of EVA hot melt adhesive production.

It is widely used in bookbinding, furniture edging, automobile and electric appliance assembly, shoe making, carpet coating and metal anti-corrosion coating, etc. It has the advantages of strong adhesion, good heat resistance, high film strength, short setting time, wide range of application, non-toxic and non-polluting. It has the advantages of "green adhesive" and "universal edge sealant", and the relatively low cost of use, which is the best choice for users and has a broad market prospect.

At the beginning of this year, Yangzi Petrochemical EVA production technology team set a goal to take advantage of the favorable opportunity to develop and produce EVA hot melt adhesive material UE 2815GA on the eve of the device overhaul, due to the melting finger of the product up to 150 g / 10 minutes, not only the polymerization reaction control is difficult, but also reached the design limit of the device extruder, the stable operation of the extruder, peroxide pump and other equipment are It was a great test for the stable operation of the extruder, peroxide pump and other equipment.

In order to complete this "extreme challenge" and ensure the safety and stability of the conversion process and the output of qualified products, Yangzi Petrochemical has organised several seminars with relevant units, studied the production technology protocols, carried out technical research and production preparation, revised the process control indicators and parameters, and improved the conversion switching plan.

During the switchover process, each link was sorted out and strictly controlled. After nearly 10 hours of team work, the first trial production of EVA hot melt adhesive UE 2815GA was successfully completed and the comprehensive performance of the product reached the expected index.
