BASF launches New Sugarcane Herbicide Vesnit® Complete (Benazolin + Atrazine) In India
Indian sugarcane growers now have the option of BASF's new innovative herbicide Vesnit® Complete for the control of grassy weeds and broadleaf weeds. This new solution takes growers to a whole new level of post-emergence weed control and ensures a better crop.

India is the second largest producer of sugarcane in the world. However, the high incidence of various grassy and broadleaf weeds is one of the main challenges facing Indian sugarcane farmers. These weeds include barnyardgrass, matang (Digitaria sangunalis), lobelia, mangold, cowslip, wild amaranth and silver gum daisy.
Vesnit® Complete also offers excellent safety and ease of use for sugarcane crops. In addition to sugarcane, Vesnit® Complete is also effective against grassy and broadleaf weeds in maize fields.
"Keeping sugarcane and maize fields weed-free in the early season has a major impact on crop yield. Using Vesnit® Complete as a post-emergence herbicide will help Indian farmers keep their fields weed-free during this critical period," noted Rajendra Velagala, Business Director, BASF Agricultural Solutions South Asia.
