Tianjin port has a wide range of imported cosmetics, including skin cosmetics such as cream, hair cream, gel water and other cosmetic products; toothpaste, mouthwash and other cosmetic products; special cosmetics such as protective milk and skin lightening; beauty cosmetics such as eye shadow and lipstick; perfume, perfume and essential oils. And so on. According to weight statistics, the top three imports were skin cosmetics, hair cosmetics and oral cosmetics, with imports of 1309.69 tons, 223.66 tons and 95.57 tons respectively.

In order to ensure the safety of imported cosmetics, Tianjin Customs strictly checks. Firstly, we should strengthen the examination of declarations and verify whether there are any record-keeping certificates or licenses issued by the market supervision and management department, and whether the consignee's record number has been obtained. Thirdly, we should strengthen laboratory testing, send samples to the laboratory for testing heavy metals and microorganisms. In the first half of the year, Tianjin Customs detected six batches of unqualified imported cosmetics, two of which involved unqualified safety and health items and were returned or destroyed according to law.
