High-value consumables for artificial joint national procurement, the provinces began to implement one after another
Following the coronary stents, the second batch of high-value consumables for national procurement - artificial joints, provinces began to implement the winning results one after another.
Artificial joint products include initial replacement artificial total hip joints and initial replacement artificial total knee joints. The average price of hip joints dropped from 35,000 yuan to around 7,000 yuan, while the average price of knee joints dropped from 32,000 yuan to around 5,000 yuan, an average reduction of 82%.
Many provinces have confirmed the timing of the implementation of the winning results
Previously, the joint procurement office of high-value medical consumables of the national organization had issued a document requesting the Union's regions to implement the selected results of the collection from March to April 2022, with the specific implementation date determined by the Union's regions.
As of today, a number of provinces have released news confirming the implementation date.
Hainan Province
In the "Notice on the implementation of centralized procurement of artificial joints by national organizations" issued by the centralized procurement service platform of Hainan Province, it is clearly stated that the selected results of centralized procurement of artificial joints by national organizations will be officially implemented on March 25, 2022, and the distribution relationship will be imported into the system by the national platform.
Guangdong Province
In the Notice on the Implementation of Centralised Volume Procurement and Use of National Organisation Artificial Joints issued by the Guangdong Provincial Medical Insurance Bureau, it is clarified that the selected results of this centralised volume procurement of artificial joints will be implemented from 15 April 2022, with a cycle of 2 years.

Shaanxi Province
Shaanxi Province Public Resources Trading Center issued a notice on the work related to the national organization of centralized quantity procurement of artificial joints, which clearly indicates that the sunshine listing price of all selected products in Shaanxi Province from March 25 onwards is uniformly implemented in accordance with the national centralized quantity procurement winning price.
Zhejiang Province
In the "Notice on Preparing for the Implementation of the Selected Results of the National Organization for the Centralized Volume Procurement of Artificial Joints (II)" issued by the Zhejiang Pharmaceutical Procurement Platform, bidding companies were required to check the product information in a timely manner and submit corrections if there were any problems between March 28 and April 6.
However, some provinces have also issued documents indicating the need for an extension: the
Guizhou Province
Guizhou Province, due to the National Health Insurance Bureau medical insurance payment and other supporting measures have not yet been introduced, the system function has not yet been perfected, in order to ensure smooth implementation, after research, originally scheduled for March 15, 2022 implementation of the national organization of artificial joint centralized quantity procurement work postponed, the specific implementation date to be notified.
