Zibo City Pulse Examination for High Quality Development of Chemical Industry

In order to accelerate the pace of transformation and upgrading of the chemical industry in the whole region and promote the green and high-quality development of the chemical industry, a special meeting on high-quality development of the chemical industry was held in Linzi District of Zibo City on the 17th. Experts from the industry were invited to analyze the development trend of the industry and explore the development path of transformation and upgrading of traditional chemical enterprises.

Song Zhenbo, Secretary of Linzi District Committee, introduced that in recent years, Linzi has focused on petroleum refining and fine chemical industry, established Qilu Chemical Industry Zone, the third specialized chemical industry park in the country, continuously extending the industrial chain, improving the industrial quality, optimizing the industrial layout and accelerating industrial upgrading, and gradually developed into an important national petroleum industry. 

Linzi District promotes the chemical industry to enter the middle and high-end in an all-round way and realize the "rebirth" type development through shutdown, transformation, integration and reorganization. At the same time, key projects such as Tianchen adiponitrile, Qixiang Tengda propylene oxide and polyurethane chemical foaming agent were implemented with leading enterprises as the core and around the leading industrial chain. A number of superior industrial chains such as C4, polyurethane and new chemical materials were further expanded and strengthened, and a new round of high-quality development was made with high-quality incremental plastics. "Sincerity" is to promote the green, high-end and intensive development of chemical industry.

"China's petrochemical industry has more than 20 main products in the world's largest production capacity. However, the structural contradiction of "excessive low-end products and shortage of high-end products" is still very prominent. Fu Xiangsheng, vice president of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, believes that the high-quality development of the petrochemical industry needs to pay attention to six aspects: first, to give more prominence to safety in production, second, to give more prominence to innovation-driven, third, to give more prominence to green development, fourth, to give more prominence to quality and efficiency, and fifth, to give more prominence to international cooperation. Sixth, we should give more prominence to international first-class.

Fu Xiangsheng said that Qilu Chemical Industry Zone, as one of the earliest chemical industry parks, has resource conditions and industrial base, and further improves the competitiveness of chemical industry base through upgrading and recycling transformation.
