Direct Supply and Direct Sale of Coal to Three Prefectures in Southern Xinjiang

On September 12, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region held the second dispatching teleconference of direct coal supply and direct marketing in the eastern region of Junggar.
Coal in the three prefectures of southern Xinjiang is mainly transferred and supplied from northern Xinjiang, with many intermediate links and long distance. Coal prices have remained high for many years, even reaching 1000 CNY/ton in the heating season. The Party Committee and the Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region have rectified the problem of the high cost of coal for people's livelihood in the three prefectures of southern Xinjiang as an important issue of educational inspection on the theme of "not forgetting the first intention and remembering the mission", and proposed that the coal in the quasi-Eastern region be directly supplied and sold in the three prefectures of southern Xinjiang.
Shenhua Xinjiang Energy Co., Ltd. and Tianchi Energy Co., Ltd. have established direct selling points in Bachu County, Kashgar City, Yecheng County and Hetian City respectively. The lowest selling price is 400 CNY/ton and the highest is 460 CNY/ton. By centralized purchasing, transportation and sales organized by the three prefectures in Southern Xinjiang, the price of coal used by most rural users will drop 200 yuan to 300 yuan per ton compared with the past.
The meeting emphasized that less than two months before the heating season in Southern Xinjiang, the relevant regions, departments and enterprises should further enhance their sense of responsibility and urgency, increase lump coal production, ensure safe production and adequate supply, strengthen railway capacity dispatching and allocation and highway transport organization, and further refine the work programme and measures. Give full play to the role of township, village committees and village teams, speed up the signing of coal purchase contracts, strictly control the price of end-to-door coal, so that the masses can enjoy more benefits.
