The loan balance of the Yangtze River Delta region was 37.01 trillion yuan

On Sept 29, the central bank headquarters issued the "Yangtze River Delta region in August 2019 monetary and credit operations." Data show that at the end of August, the balance of loans in domestic and foreign currencies in the Yangtze River Delta region was 37.01 trillion yuan, up 13.6% year-on-year, 1.7 percentage points higher than that in the whole country. In August, RMB loans in the Yangtze River Delta increased by 381.4 billion yuan, an increase of 55.8 billion yuan over the same period last year. In terms of sub-departments, household sector loans increased by 191.1 billion yuan, an increase of 3.8 billion yuan over the same period last year. Among them, short-term loans and medium- and long-term loans increased by 64.8 billion yuan and 126.3 billion yuan, respectively. Loans from non-financial enterprises and organs increased by 207.7 billion yuan, an increase of 74.6 billion yuan over the same period last year. Among them, short-term loans increased by 31.4 billion yuan, medium-term and long-term loans increased by 88.5 billion yuan and bill financing increased by 84.9 billion yuan. Loans from non-banking financial institutions decreased by 18.1 billion yuan, an increase of 18.4 billion yuan over the same period last year. In addition, at the end of August, the deposit balance of domestic and foreign currencies in the Yangtze River Delta region was 46.95 trillion yuan, an increase of 10.1% over the same period last year, and the growth rate was 1.9 percentage points higher than that in the whole country. In August, RMB deposits in the Yangtze River Delta increased by 530.2 billion yuan, an increase of 224.3 billion yuan over the same period last year. Among them, household deposits increased by 72.9 billion yuan, an increase of 9.8 billion yuan over the same period of last year; deposits of non-financial enterprises increased by 139.3 billion yuan, an increase of 27.1 billion yuan over the same period of last year; Financial deposits increased by 90.2 billion yuan, an increase of 41.1 billion yuan over the same period of last year; deposits of non-banking financial institutions increased by 176.7 billion yuan, an increase of 173.
