According to data released recently by the National Bureau of Statistics, the online retail sales of physical goods increased by 20.8% from January to August, 12.6 percentage points higher than the total retail sales of social consumer goods, accounting for 19.4% of the total retail sales of social consumer goods, and 2.1 percentage points higher than the same period last year. The total retail sales of social consumer goods increased by 8.2% year-on-year from January to August, and the growth rate was basically the same as that of January to July. Among them, the sales growth of upgrading commodities has accelerated. Statistics show that in August, cosmetics, cultural office supplies, household appliances, audio-visual equipment and communication equipment increased by 12.8%, 19.8%, 4.2% and 3.5% year on year, respectively, and the growth rate was 3.4, 5.3, 1.2 and 2.5 percentage points faster than in July.
