China's Largest Scale of 6,000 Sets of Air-Jet Looms Project
On August 6 2017, ground-breaking ceremony about Korla Textile and Garment City’s 6,000 sets of air-jet looms to produce 500 million meters/year high-grade biomass fabric project was held in Korla Economic and Technological Development Zone.
The project is invested and constructed by four enterprises, including Xinjiang Zhongtai (Group) Co., Ltd, Jiangsu Dongzhan Investment Group Co., Ltd, Xinjiang Keda Construction Group Co., Ltd and Xinjiang Taichang Industry Co., Ltd, with a total investment of 3.2 billion yuan. The project will purchase the most advanced air-jet looms, to form a 6,000 sets of air-jet loom weaving production line, having the production capacity of 500 million meters high-grade biomass fabric per year. In addition, it will also have 200,000 spindles of compact-siro spun spinning production line and 20,000 tons of specialty bio-base yarn two-for-one twister and covering machine production line. The project plans to start construction in August 2017, and complete in August 2018. After construction, yearly sales revenue may reach 3.8 billion yuan, with profits of 0.8 billion yuan. About 7,000 jobs will be provided.
