BASF further developed its hydrolysis resistant (HR) thermoplastic polyester

BASF further developed its hydrolysis resistant (HR) thermoplastic polyester series to meet the growing demand for new energy vehicles and automatic driving system components. The extended Ultradur HR series includes: Ultradur B4330G6HRHighSpeed, high mobility, laser-labeled brand, with 30% glass fiber reinforced; Ultradur B4330G10HR, with 50% glass fiber; Ultradur B4331G6HR, the next generation product with better processing performance. The trademark of HR significantly improves the resistance to alkaline medium, which will lead to stress corrosion cracking. The same is true of the new Ultradur B4331G6HR, which greatly improves the melt stability and fluidity. The viscosity of Ultradur B4331G6HR did not increase even at high temperature for a long time. The material can also be colored orange (RAL2003) to produce high-pressure plug connectors for new energy vehicles.

 

Because PBT has exceptionally high resistance to electric trace, plug-in connectors can be designed smaller, but still can withstand high voltage in new energy vehicles. Therefore, the cost can be reduced and the weight of components can be reduced.
