Large scale solar park to be built in Germany
Baden wuertenberg electric power company recently announced that it will build the largest solar Park in Germany. According to German media, the solar park is 30km away from Berlin, with a planned area of 164 hectares, 465000 solar modules and an estimated installed capacity of more than 180 megawatts, which can supply power to 50000 users. The park is planned to be put into operation in 2020. In recent years, Germany has vigorously developed renewable energy including solar energy and wind energy. According to data released by German Federal Energy and Water Industry Association, the proportion of renewable energy power generation in Germany reached 44% in the first half of 2019, a record high. According to the "energy transformation" plan of the German government, by 2030, the proportion of renewable energy power generation in Germany needs to reach 65%, and the carbon emissions need to be reduced by 55% compared with 1990.
