After the national day, Changzhou pig prices continued to rise. In order to timely grasp the recent market situation of Changzhou pig market and strengthen early warning and prediction, today, the municipal development and Reform Commission conducted a rapid investigation on pig slaughtering enterprises and agricultural market. According to the staff of a slaughtering enterprise, the wholesale price of Changzhou Baitiao meat is 26 yuan per 500g, up 6.12% on a weekly basis, 29.35% on a monthly basis and 109.68% on a year-on-year basis. The reporter learned that at present, Changzhou slaughtering enterprises mainly rely on "slaughter on behalf of others" and rely on the quantity to make profits. The daily Principal Guaranteed quantity is 400. At present, the daily slaughtering quantity of live pigs is only 100. Therefore, the slaughtering enterprises have serious losses. In terms of retail price, Changzhou pork price rose on a weekly basis. According to the monitoring data of 14 agricultural markets in the urban area, on October 22, the average retail prices of lean meat, rib meat and boneless hind leg meat per 500g were 29.75 yuan, 28.86 yuan and 27.68 yuan respectively, with the weekly ratio rising by 7.36%, 7.93% and 8.55%, and the monthly ratio rising by 19.43%, 20.96% and 22.64%, respectively, up 95.08%, 102.53% and 101.31% year on year. According to the industry insiders, due to the epidemic risk still exists, the farmers are still cautious to make up the fences. Only some large-scale breeding enterprises have improved their confidence in breeding under the influence of policies, but the process of making up the market supply gap is still relatively slow. It is unlikely that the price of pigs will fall before the Spring Festival next year. Some farmers are reluctant to sell in the market, which leads to the shortage of pig resources, the difficulty of pig collection in slaughtering enterprises, and the price continues to rise. After the cold weather, pork consumption has entered the peak season, but the farmers are cautious to make up the fences, the market breeding scale changes little, the supply gap still exists, and it is expected that the price of pigs will continue to rise.
