The added value of financial industry accounted for 19.3%

According to the second China Bank Insurance International Summit held recently, in the first half of this year, Beijing's financial industry achieved an added value of 293.47 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.1%; the insurance market realized a total of 116.81 billion yuan of original insurance premium income, a year-on-year increase of 16.1%. Li Zhigang, member of the Party group and deputy director of the Beijing financial regulatory bureau, said that in the first half of this year, the added value of Beijing's financial industry accounted for 19.3% of GDP, ranking first in all industries. Beijing is the location of one party, two sessions, national financial enterprise headquarters and important financial infrastructure. 94% of the financial enterprises under the central management are registered in Beijing, and the Asian investment bank and silk road fund are all located in Beijing. As of the first half of the year, the city has 830 licensed legal entities, with a total financial assets of nearly 145 trillion yuan, ranking first in the country. Yang Bin, deputy mayor of Beijing, said that as the first pillar industry of Beijing, the financial industry not only promotes the sustained, stable and healthy development of Beijing's economy, but also strongly promotes the urban planning and construction and high-quality development of Beijing. In February this year, the State Council, in its reply to the comprehensive pilot plan for expanding the opening up of Beijing's service industry, specifically proposed that Shijingshan District take the Bank of Beijing insurance Industrial Park as the core to accelerate the construction of a national financial industry demonstration zone. "We will set up a special fund for innovation and development of the insurance industrial park of the Bank of Beijing, and spend 800 million yuan every year to promote the agglomeration of modern financial industry," said Chen Zhichang, district chief of Shijingshan District, Beijing.
