Clariant catalyst set up new office to expand Asia Pacific market
Based on the establishment of engineering service offices in Singapore and Tokyo, Clariant's catalyst Department recently opened offices in Jakarta. After the establishment of a third office in the Asia Pacific region, the total number of offices in the Department worldwide reached 16. The new Office aims to strengthen support for regional markets, especially in southern Asia Pacific countries, and will focus on the promotion of catalysts for ethylene, styrene and syngas production, as well as catalysts for distillate upgrading, hydrogenation and oxidation. The new office was set up in September at Clariant's production base in tanglan, near Jakarta. The newly appointed catalyst expert of the office will work closely with colleagues in the region. Clariant has built a joint-venture catalyst plant in North Zhigan, near Jakarta. Stefan Heuser, senior vice president and general manager of Clariant catalyst, commented: "the Asia Pacific region is a huge market. There are many customers here, and their requirements and application fields are different. The new office will bring us closer to our customers, so that we can quickly help them with the best solutions to meet the challenges, which will bring value to their business. "
