The development and application of large crude oil irrigation area safety and VOC emission reduction technology in Huangdao Oil Depot is an important part of Sinopec's "ten dragon" project. Huangdao Oil Depot is a pearl inlaid by the Yellow Sea and Jiaozhou Bay of China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation. It belongs to Sinopec pipeline storage and transportation branch and is the largest crude oil transfer base in China. It was established on August 1, 2001, covering an area of 766000 square meters, with a storage capacity of 2.1 million cubic meters and a total asset value of about 1.5 billion yuan. It undertakes the tasks of crude oil loading, unloading, transfer and transportation for refining and chemical enterprises in North China, East China coast and along the river, with an annual crude oil storage and transportation capacity of more than 30 million tons. The Huangdao Oil Depot is built near the sea. The oil tank is less than 100 meters near the sea, with high humidity and high salt. The corrosion environment and construction climate are extremely complex. It has a severe test on the performance and construction requirements of waterborne anticorrosive paint.

In the construction process, according to the climate change of Huangdao and the short construction board of water-based paint, the drying time and anti sagging of the product are improved in time, and the "window operation method" is proposed for the construction of special climate (rainy and wet weather) to effectively ensure the performance and construction efficiency of the product. In the just completed acceptance process of 6029 tank, all performance indexes passed once. The R & D team of the waterborne paint of Jitai Co., Ltd. has won the unanimous recognition of the project team with its strength, enhanced the cognition and satisfaction of the owner, construction and supervision to the waterborne anticorrosive paint, and affirmed the professionalism of the waterborne paint of Jitai in the petrochemical field. In addition, the patented products of water-based anticorrosive paint in tanks developed by Jitai and Maoming Petrochemical Co., Ltd. have also been applied in 6029 tanks. At present, the project has entered the stage of project acceptance report conclusion. It is worth mentioning that the project of external heat insulation and anticorrosion of large-scale storage tank carried out by Jitai Co., Ltd. and Academy of Sciences of Xuzhou Pipeline Bureau has completed the design and technical test of product supporting system, and the project experiment and application promotion of the second stage will be carried out soon.
