250,000 Tons/Year Polyether Polyol Project is About to Stop Production
On July 26, Shenyang Chemical Co., Ltd. issued an announcement on shutting down the 250,000-ton/year polyether polyol project of its subsidiary Shandong Bluestar Dongda Co., Ltd.
Reason for shutdown
According to the development plan of Zibo High-tech Zone, the area where the 250,000-ton/year polyether polyol project is located is listed as a prohibited development zone. Chemical production, storage and other activities are prohibited in the zone, and must be relocated into the park, transferred to production or closed. Shandong Dongda will successively shut down the production units of the 250,000-ton/year polyether polyol project and carry out process treatment, and at the same time change its domicile to Maqiao Chemical Industrial Park, Huantai County, Zibo City, Shandong Province.
