GDP growth of nearly 92 trillion yuan in 2018 after revision is 2.1%

The National Bureau of Statistics recently released the revised 2018 GDP data. The main results are as follows: in 2018, the GDP was 91928.1 billion yuan, an increase of 1897.2 billion yuan or 2.1% compared with the preliminary accounting. The revised added value of the primary industry is 6474.5 billion yuan, accounting for 7.0%; the added value of the secondary industry is 36483.5 billion yuan, accounting for 39.7%; the added value of the tertiary industry is 48970.1 billion yuan, accounting for 53.3%. The head of the accounting department of the National Bureau of statistics pointed out that the National Bureau of statistics revised the preliminary GDP accounting in 2018 according to the annual GDP accounting method of the fourth national economic census based on the data of the economic census and the data of relevant departments. The data shows that the revised GDP in 2018 is 91928.1 billion yuan, which is an increase of 1897.2 billion yuan and 2.1% respectively compared with the preliminary accounting of 90030.9 billion yuan in 2018. Compared with the GDP growth of 16.8%, 4.4% and 3.4% in the previous three economic census years, the revision of GDP in the fourth national economic census year was the smallest. It is worth noting that after the revision of GDP data in 2018, the three industrial structures have changed. The added value of the primary industry accounts for 7.0% of GDP, which is 0.1% lower than the preliminary accounting; the added value of the secondary industry accounts for 39.7%, which is 1.0% lower than the preliminary accounting; the added value of the tertiary industry accounts for 53.3%, which is 1.1% higher than the preliminary accounting.
