The ancient transportation headquarters of Xishan coal power (formerly Xishan Mining Bureau) strictly implemented the "three Simultaneities" system of simultaneous design, construction and production of environmental protection engineering and main works, and pre evaluated the environmental impact of main projects. In 2013, three coal mines including Malan mine were rated as "the most beautiful mine in China"; in August this year, six coal mines including Duerping mine and Hexi mine were selected as national green mines. Today, the former "Flame Mountain" has become a "flower and fruit mountain" with trees.

At the coking wastewater treatment site in Shanxi Province, a staff member was demonstrating the process of transforming turbid wastewater into pure water after 7-level treatment, and took a glass of treated water and drank two. Shanxi Coking Coal Group carried out the "rainwater and sewage diversion" transformation for the rivers passing through Xishan mining area. In 2018 alone, more than 230 million yuan was invested to upgrade 20 mine water treatment stations and 10 domestic sewage treatment stations, increasing the advanced treatment process, and the chemical oxygen demand emissions decreased by 23.49% compared with 2015. We will vigorously develop the circular economy along the tunchuan River in Gujiao City. Xishan coal power Tunlan coal preparation plant is adjacent to Gujiao Power Plant. A 500 meter long coal conveying corridor directly transports the by-product of coal washing and blending to the power plant, converts it into electric energy, and then transports it to all directions. In the downstream of the power plant, the fly ash generated by power generation is transported to the ash yard through a 900 meter long closed ash pipeline, which is processed into building materials such as cement, wall brick, etc Within 2000 meters, the "coal electricity material" industrial chain has been completed. As early as 2005, Xishan coal power and Shanxi Coking were also established as the first batch of pilot units of circular economy by six ministries and commissions of the state.

Now, Shanxi Coking Coal Group is speeding up the construction of circular economy park with the coal to electricity to material (aluminum), coal to coke to chemical (steel) and other integration as the breakthrough point of local transformation and clean utilization of coal. By the end of 2018, Shanxi coking coal group had built 13 gas power plants with an installed capacity of 132.58 megawatts; in 2018, 198 million cubic meters of gas were used to generate 549 million kilowatt hours of electricity, and 3.51 million tons of carbon emission reduction were achieved.
