Total assets of financial institutions: 312.46 trillion yuan
According to data released by the people's Bank of China on December 12, at the end of the third quarter of this year, the total assets of China's financial institutions were 312.46 trillion yuan, up 8.1% year on year, including 284.67 trillion yuan of total assets of banking institutions, up 7.7% year on year; 7.83 trillion yuan of total assets of securities institutions, up 13.6% year on year; 19.96 trillion yuan of total assets of insurance institutions, up 11.7% year on year. At the end of the third quarter, the total liabilities of financial institutions were 283.94 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.6%, among which, the total liabilities of banking institutions were 260.79 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.2%; the total liabilities of securities institutions were 5.57 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.9%; the total liabilities of insurance institutions were 17.58 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.7%.
