It is expected that the two weak prices of port supply and demand will be stable

ECHEMI 2020-02-20

This week's market situation review this week, the main production area has a small number of re production, supply is still tight, road transportation has not improved significantly, and the price of pithead power coal continues to rise. Port inventory slowed down, and the closing price of power coal rose 4 CNY/ton. At present, the coal mines are mainly some state-owned mines, and most of the private mines are in the state of shutdown. Judging from the current situation of the epidemic, it will still take some time for the personnel outside the area to rework to the post, and it will be difficult for the coal mine to resume production next week. At the same time, the tight drivers and traffic control in some areas will continue to restrict the coal transportation. It is expected that the supply of power coal in pithead will continue to be tight next week, and the price of pithead will continue to be strong. In terms of ports, the daily power consumption of the six major coastal power plants continues to be less than 400000 tons / day, and the available days are up to 44 days. In the case of long-term coal supply, the demand for spot goods is not high. At the same time, affected by the delay of downstream construction, the demand for non electric power coal decreased, and the decline of port coal inventory narrowed. However, in the short term, it is difficult for the port to return to normal, which is a strong support for the price. It is expected that the supply and demand of the port will be weak next week and the price will be mainly stable.
