Realizing the Digital Transformation of Chemical Companies in Line with the 'Double Carbon' Goal
On September 16, 2022, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) held a series of press conferences on the theme of "Industrial and Information Development in the New Era", emphasizing that China should seize the historic opportunity of the new round of technological revolution and industrial change, promote the deep integration of emerging technologies such as big data into green low-carbon industries, and strive to digitally empower green manufacturing through digitalization. The manufacturing field makes China's carbon peak target as scheduled. Digital transformation for China's chemical enterprises is not only an important path for enterprises to improve their competitive advantages and comply with digital business upgrading, but also a key grasp for enterprises to successfully achieve the "double carbon" target.
At present, the digital transformation of chemical enterprises has become an inevitable trend. With the continuous promotion of digital transformation process, the problems of enterprise software and hardware are increasingly prominent. First of all, the low level of awareness of digital environment will produce many wrong and deviant ideas, which will seriously hinder the promotion of digital transformation of chemical enterprises.
Secondly, the digital technology innovation is not effective, and the green digital construction ability is not strong, which makes it difficult to perfectly integrate the digital system built into the enterprise's own management operation system.
Finally, the shortage of green digital professionals is like a "roadblock" on the road of digital transformation, which seriously affects the process of digital transformation of enterprises. Therefore, based on the background of digital economy era, China's chemical enterprises should improve their efficiency, reduce energy consumption and realize cost reduction and efficiency increase through digital means, so as to build a new green and low-carbon normal.
The digital transformation of enterprises starts from the concept, specializes in technology and is rooted in business. Chemical enterprises should strive to improve their digitalization level through efficient management measures, so as to realize the digital transformation of chemical enterprises in line with the goal of "double carbon".
