When was vanadium discovered and its uses

When was vanadium discovered is a question that some people might find interesting, especially those who are in the field of education. Vanadium was discovered in 1801 by a Swedish chemist called Nils Gabriel Sefstrôm. He discovered it while studying the mineral pyrolusite which is a type of ore. Nils Gabriel Sefstrôm, like many chemists before him, became interested in pyrolusite because it had been known to react with acids and give off a black coating of magnetite on its surface while doing so. Uses of Vanadium

1. Ingredients used to make stainless steel
