China's caprolactam exports exceeded imports for the first time
Affected by the energy crisis, the costs of Chinese and European chemicals have diverged significantly, with many European chemicals costing and selling at significantly higher prices than China domestic ones, giving Chinese chemicals the opportunity to export energy arbitrage, and caprolactam (CPL) and PA6 are no exception.
As seen from the trend of caprolactam import and export, July 2022 ushered in a historical moment when caprolactam exports exceeded imports for the first time, and with the continued high energy costs in Europe and the withdrawal of some installations in Japan, it is expected that caprolactam exports will gradually increase in the later years.
