TricorBraun Adds Flexible Packaging to Its Portfolio
TricorBraun Holdings Ltd., for the first time in the company's history, is moving into flexible packaging with its latest acquisition.
The St. Louis-based packaging designer and supplier is acquiring Taipak Enterprises Ltd. of Richmond, British Columbia.
"The acquisition of Taipak represents a true milestone for TricorBraun. It's the very first time in our more than 100-year history that we have entered the flexible packaging industry," said Keith Strope, chairman of TricorBraun, in a statement. "It's a move that significantly increases our product offering and capabilities."
Taipak provides both stock and custom packaging, including pouches, bags and boxes. Services include contract packaging, artwork, slitting and rewinding, and valve and tin tie application.
TricorBraun provides plastic and glass containers, closures, dispensers and tubes through a network of more than 40 locations in North America, Europe and Asia.
