ECHEMI 2020-04-17

A total of 12 inspection teams of the Inner Mongolia Party committee officially carried out a special inspection tour in the field of coal resources to look back on coal corruption in the past 20 years, the Inner Mongolia Discipline Inspection Commission reported Friday. The 12 inspection teams will carry out special inspection tour in the field of coal resources for three state-owned enterprises, including seven league cities such as Ordos, four departments and bureaus such as the Department of natural resources of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and Inner Mongolia energy and power generation Investment Group Co., Ltd. On February 28, Shi Taifeng, Secretary of the Party committee of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, said that "consultation" should be carried out on the development and utilization of coal resources in Inner Mongolia since 2000.

Inner Mongolia's "consultation" on the coal problem stems from the violation of laws and regulations in the field of coal resources exposed by corruption cases such as yunguangzhong, baixiangqun, Xingyun and Yunmin. In the past month, three legal advisers, senior executives and officials related to coal corruption have been investigated by the Commission for Discipline Inspection. According to the official news, the 12 inspection teams will focus on finding and promoting solutions to some outstanding problems in the field of coal resources and the reform and development of state-owned enterprises, and further promote the sustainable and healthy development of the coal industry in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. According to reports, Inner Mongolia will also carry out routine inspections on the party committees of 15 state-owned enterprises such as Inner Mongolia power (Group) Co., Ltd. The on-site inspection time of Inner Mongolia Party Committee inspection team is about 2 months, during which a special duty telephone, post office box, e-mail, etc. will be set up. Inner Mongolia, known as the "big coal province" by the outside world, has abundant proved coal reserves and mining volume. At present, the coal reserve in Inner Mongolia is 459.041 billion tons, ranking first in China.
