Esophagitis
Esophagitis refers to inflammation caused by edema and congestion of the superficial or deep tissues of the esophageal mucosa due to abnormal stimulation. These stimuli include gastric acid, bile vomited from the duodenum, strong liquor, chili peppers, too hot soup, too strong tea, etc. It can be divided into primary and secondary esophagitis. There are many reasons for esophageal inflammation; such as severe vomiting, long-term placement of nasogastric tubes, taking aspirin, strong acids and alkalis, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or receiving chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or the patient's own resistance is reduced and he is infected with tuberculosis, Candida or viruses, which leads to esophagitis.
