Vascular trauma is common in both wartime and peacetime, among which vascular injuries in the limbs are the most common, followed by vascular injuries in the neck, pelvis, chest and abdomen. With the recent development and popularization of endovascular therapy, iatrogenic vascular injuries have also increased. Among vascular injuries, arterial injuries are more common than venous injuries, and combined injuries of accompanying aortic veins and separate venous injuries also occur. The blood supply to the hand is extremely rich. The main sources are the radial artery and the ulnar artery; there are also the anterior interosseous artery and the posterior interosseous artery; in addition, 3.7% of individuals have the median artery. These blood vessels form a smooth channel in the form of an arterial network or an arterial arch, ensuring that the hand has a strong adaptability to blood supply in multiple functional positions such as pinching, holding, grasping and gripping. Because the above-mentioned blood vessels have abundant anastomoses and good compensatory ability, the survival rate of the hand in the injured with complete rupture of the ulnar artery and radial artery reported in clinical reports can still reach about 1/3.
