Respiratory failure is a serious clinical syndrome, one of the common emergencies in pediatrics and a common cause of death. It is referred to as respiratory failure. Respiratory failure refers to a clinical syndrome caused by various reasons leading to central and/or peripheral respiratory physiological dysfunction, arterial oxygen partial pressure (PaO2) < 8kPa (60mmHg) or accompanied by arterial carbon dioxide partial pressure (PaCO2) > 6.67kPa (50mmHg), and the presence of dyspnea. Acute respiratory failure is common in children.
