Forest encephalitis
Forest encephalitis is a natural epidemic-focus acute central nervous system infectious disease caused by forest encephalitis virus through hard tick vectors. Clinically, it is characterized by sudden high fever, headache, impaired consciousness, meningeal irritation signs, and paralysis, often with sequelae and a high mortality rate. This disease is a natural epidemic-focus disease in forest areas, prevalent in Northeast my country, the Russian Far East, and the forest areas in northern North Korea, and mostly occurs in spring and summer. It is also called tick-borne encephalitis (TBE), Russian spring-summer encephalitis, and oriental tick-borne encephalitis (encephalitis acarina orientalis).
