After ulceration, the pus is clear and thin. Often one heals and the other breaks, forming a sinus, which looks like a mouse hole. The treatment is quite difficult. In the old society, there was a saying that "nine out of ten scrofula are fatal." With the continuous progress of medicine, the disease is no longer terrible. The scrofula department is a specialty that specializes in treating this type of disease, and the word "scrofula" is used as the name of the department. "Scrofula" in traditional Chinese medicine and "rat sores" in the folk refer to lymph node tuberculosis. Lymph node tuberculosis is most common in the neck, and cervical lymph node tuberculosis can also be combined with mediastinal hilar, axillary, and inguinal lymph node tuberculosis.
