This product is a potassium sodium salt of dehydrated andrographolide succinate half ester made by esterification, dehydration and salt formation of andrographolide extract from the plant Andrographis paniculata. It is the same substance as the active metabolite of Andrographolide in the body. It has antipyretic, anti-inflammatory and sedative effects, can promote the disappearance of fever, counteract the increased permeability of capillary walls, enhance the effect of sedative drugs, promote adrenal cortex function, increase the body's emergency response to pathogen infection, and has a certain inactivation effect on a variety of viruses.

After phosphorylation to form the active triphosphate form, it is able to inhibit the synthesis of herpes virus DNA. The first step of phosphorylation requires the activity of a virus-specific enzyme.
