| Cefuroxime 1-acetoxyethyl ester |
This product is a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. After oral absorption through the gastrointestinal tract, it is rapidly hydrolyzed into cefuroxime under the action of esterase to exert its antibacterial effect. Its activity against Gram-positive cocci is similar to or slightly worse than that of the first-generation cephalosporins, but it is quite stable against β-lactamase produced by Staphylococci and Gram-negative bacilli. Except for methicillin-resistant Staphylococci, Enterococci and Listeria, other positive cocci (including anaerobic cocci) are sensitive to this product. The antibacterial activity of this product against Staphylococcus aureus is worse than that of cefazolin. 1-2 mg/L of this product can inhibit all Staphylococcus aureus that are sensitive and resistant to penicillin, respectively. It has strong antibacterial activity against Haemophilus influenzae, Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, etc. are sensitive to this product; indole-positive Proteus, Citrobacter and Acinetobacter are poorly sensitive to this product, most Serratia are resistant, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Campylobacter and Bacteroides fragilis are resistant to this product. The mechanism of action of this product is to inhibit the synthesis of bacterial cell walls.

Macrolide antibiotics inhibit bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit of sensitive microorganisms. It is active against the following microorganisms: aerobic Gram-positive microorganisms (Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus pyogenes), aerobic Gram-negative microorganisms (Haemophilus influenzae, Legionella pneumophila, Moraxella catarrhalis), and other microorganisms (Mycoplasma pneumoniae). In vitro studies have shown that it is active against Listeria monocytogenes, Staphylococci (Groups C, F, and G), Bordetella pertussis, and Propionibacterium acnes. Bacteria resistant to other macrolide antibiotics are also resistant to this product.

This product is a second-generation sulfonylurea oral hypoglycemic drug. It can promote the secretion of insulin by pancreatic beta cells and enhance the effect of insulin on target tissues; it can also stimulate pancreatic alpha cells to inhibit the secretion of glucagon, inhibit the decomposition of liver glycogen, and promote muscle utilization and consumption of glucose.

This product is a second-generation cephalosporin, an oral semi-synthetic antibiotic, with a broad-spectrum anti-Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria effect. Its mechanism of action is the same as other cephalosporins, mainly by inhibiting the synthesis of cell walls to achieve bactericidal effects. This product is stable to the beta-lactamase of some bacteria, so some beta-lactamase-producing microorganisms may be sensitive to this product. In vitro and clinical studies have confirmed that this product has antibacterial activity against most of the following microorganisms: Gram-positive bacteria: Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus pneumoniae, this product is ineffective against methicillin sodium-resistant Staphylococci. Gram-negative bacteria: Haemophilus influenzae (only for strains that do not produce beta-lactamase), Moraxella catarrhalis (including strains that produce beta-lactamase).
