Erythromycin Estolate
This product belongs to the macrolide antibiotics, which is the dodecyl sulfate of erythromycin propionate. It has antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus, various groups of streptococci and Gram-positive bacilli. Neisseria, Haemophilus influenzae, Bordetella pertussis, etc. may also be sensitive to this product. This product also has antibacterial activity against various anaerobic bacteria except Bacteroides fragilis and Fusobacterium; it also has inhibitory effects on Legionella, Campylobacter fetus, some spirochetes, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Rickettsia and Chlamydia. This product is an antibacterial agent, but it also has a bactericidal effect on some bacteria at high concentrations. This product can pass through the bacterial cell membrane and reversibly bind to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome near the donor site (P site), blocking the transfer RNA (t-RNA) binding to the P site, and also blocking the displacement of the polypeptide chain from the acceptor site (A site) to the P site, thereby inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. This product is only effective against bacteria with active division.

Tetracycline hydrochloride
This product is a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent, with bactericidal effect at high concentrations. It has certain antibacterial effects on Streptococcus pneumoniae, hemolytic Streptococcus, Streptococcus viridans and some Staphylococci, Clostridium perfringens, Bacillus anthracis, Yersinia pestis, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Clostridium tetani, Brucella, Haemophilus influenzae, Campylobacter, Vibrio cholerae, and also has inhibitory effects on Rickettsia, Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, Spirochete, and some protozoa. This product is better than Gram-positive bacteria in effect on Gram-negative bacteria, but Enterococcus is resistant to it. Others such as Actinomyces, Bacillus anthracis, Listeria monocytogenes, Clostridium, Nocardia, etc. are also sensitive to this product. This product has certain antibacterial activity against Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Neisseria meningitidis, but penicillin-resistant gonococci are also resistant to tetracycline. This product has no antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It has a certain antibacterial effect on some anaerobic bacteria, but it is far less effective than metronidazole, clindamycin and chloramphenicol, so it is not used clinically. The mechanism of action of this product is that the drug can specifically bind to the A position of the bacterial ribosome 30S subunit, preventing the connection of aminoacyl-tRNA at this position, thereby inhibiting the growth of peptide chains and affecting the synthesis of bacterial proteins.

Lincomycin hydrochloride
It has high antibacterial activity against common aerobic Gram-positive bacteria, such as Staphylococcus aureus (including those resistant to penicillin G), Staphylococcus epidermidis, β-hemolytic Streptococcus, viridans Streptococcus and Streptococcus pneumoniae. It has good antibacterial effect against anaerobic bacteria, including Clostridium tetani, Corynebacterium diphtheriae and Clostridium perfringens. It has no activity against Gram-negative bacteria such as enterococci, meningococci, Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Haemophilus influenzae, as well as fungi. There is no cross-resistance with penicillin, chloramphenicol, cephalosporins and tetracyclines, and there is partial cross-resistance with macrolides. It acts on the 50S subunit of the ribosome of sensitive bacteria, preventing the extension of the peptide chain, thereby inhibiting the protein synthesis of bacterial cells. It is generally an antibacterial agent, but at high concentrations, it also has a bactericidal effect on certain bacteria.
